Somehow, I feel that both the closely-ranked Penguins/Stars series and Flyers/Canes series will not be very close in the voting.

I thought I was wrong before, but I was sadly mistaken.

I voted Canes. THey might not of been as hot as the Flyers were before this bullsh!t all happened...but I think they are a deeper team...though the D was a bit ravaged.

I also didnt wanna throw up in my mouth.

Did anyone see EK's poll today. If there ever was a chance to reveal RW's shadow account. He'd be the only one to list JJ, right?

I'm going by the assumption that all teams are at full health for this.

Would give the Canes

Svechnikov - Aho - Teravainen
Niederreiter - Trochek - Necas
Foegele - Staal - Williams
Dzingel - Geekie/Martinook - McGinn

Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton
Brady Skjei - Brett Pesce
Haydn Fleury - Sami Vatanen
Jake Gardiner - TVR

Mrazek/Reimer

I didn't even include Joel Edmundson (mostly because he sucks)

that's all 3 of the 5-6-7 defensemen on that ehalthy roster would be capable of playing in a top 4.

I picked the Caines as well. At least I think it would be close. I believe Philly's defense and goaltender can be broken with pressure and misdirection and back door plays. But, then again I'm a Penguin fan, what can I say?

I love the offense better against the D. Canines acquired some size on the back end which would be useful aginst Philly. In the playoffs it's all about matchups. Caines match up well, IMHO. They are pretty young too.

Quotes were not working earlier but in essence I agree with you. I live my chances with the Caines Offense against Philly's Defense. They have the skill and speed to get the puck out and up the ice on Philly's pressure.

At full health this is a full D corps.

Skjei would go down on my depth chart though. Isn’t Gardiner a better player as well as Vatanen?

As for the Canes yes they can field 18 players but...Mrazek and Reimer are not good enough.

If the Flyers are healthy...a big if, you have something like this,

Provorov-Niskanen
Sanheim-Myers
Hagg/Gostisbehere-Braun

Giroux-Couturier-Vorachek
Farabee-Hayes-Konecny
Lindblom-Patrick-JVR
Rafl-Laughton-Pitlik

Hart
Elliot

HS...Aube Kubel, Grant and Thompson

The Flyer vs. Hurricanes...Flyers 3-0-1

Provorov is every bit as good as Slavin or Hamilton. Sanheim and Myers are fun, fun to watch and coming. Hagg and Braun are a serviceable 3rd pair...if Gostisbehere gets his game together all the better.

Couturier is where offense goes to die. He is that good. The last Carolina game, Aho was a ghost.

Hart has been coming on the road, so his numbers are skewed. What he lacks is experience.

Roster depth favors Philadelphia. Regular season record Philadelphia and goaltending favors Philadelphia.
